The Interviewing / Questioning Tool which we developed can best be used for the following:

Based on the answers, the tool can be customized to perform various tasks.

This tool can be used online as well as offline which is a big advantage. The user just downloads the questionnaire(s) and master data from the server initially. The data can then be collected offline using the software tool on the notebook. The recorded data can be securely (SSL) transmitted to the server through the internet once the notebook is online.

The questions can be very complex and nested. There are different answer types like Yes/No, single selection (drop down) or multiple selections. These individual options can enabled or disabled further questions in order to generate nested questioins.

A single question includes the following elements:

  • Name of the checklist
  • Main and subgroup group with descrition
  • Help text or guidance
  • Control steps
  • Questions with various answer types
    • Text
    • Rich text
    • Date
    • Number
    • File as attachment
    • Single select (drop down)
    • Multiple select (tick menu)
    • Yes/No/NA
    • Currency and number

Reports

  • It is possible to print the report with the questions and answers after completion (e.g. for signature)
  • The administrator can view the master list of reports (server side)

Additional functions are:

  • The status of the data collection can be recorded (completed, in progress, closed)
  • The administrator can release the whole or part of a questionnaire
  • Each user has a separate login
  • The administrator can assign the user to selective companies/persons thereby restricting access to all the data
  • Different types of questionnaires are possible
  • It is also possible for two users to collect data for the same company/person and then synchronize their data
